A couple of months ago I received a call from Shelley with the Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society. She told me a little about Major Miller, a retired Marine who received a purple heart. She briefly described the interaction and help that Major Miller received from Sue Waddingham, a nurse with NMCRS. Sue had such an impact on Major Miller that he stated the nurses program saved his life!

Though I didn't know much at that point, I knew immediately that I wanted to be a part of telling this touching story. I am truly honored that I was able to play a part in capturing the images as well as the story of these two heroic and giving people.

Sue Waddingham and major Sean Miller are both heroes in my mind. Major Miller served our country in order to keep all Americans safe, while Sue serves our military by helping individuals find hope and healing.
